In addition to learning more about myself, I gained a deeper yet eye-opening understanding about the culture in which I was born and raised.

As I mentioned, there are exceptions — there is a group of guys who prefer older women, and there is a group of women who is uniquely attractive despite being older. But denying that a significant age difference is an issue is like denying that a typical woman wants to be with a guy who is taller. Many younger men appreciate the wisdom, intelligence, reponsibility and maturity an older woman brings to the relationship. Traffic sign via Shutterstock. It seems to me like all of these expectations are laid on women to have hit all kinds of crazy benchmarks by the time they turn the big three-oh. I used to think that being 30 meant being places on time, having the right wardrobe, never feeling insecure, never getting a pimple ever again, and knowing that you were grown up and adult.

You can still feel like you will never have it all the way together. You might still struggle to get places on time Lord knows I do. You will still have things in your life that feel like homework and final exams, even though you may not have been in school for years. All of those experiences and anxieties and moments of angst have shaped you into who you are. What you do with all that collective life experience is entirely up to you.

Friends and family recited the seven blessings. We drank the wine. The rabbi pronounced us married. I stomped on the glass with great vigor. The intense pressure I felt to date and marry within the tribe damaged my perception of Jewish women and my ability to be myself around them.

I’ve dated countless women and it has always amazed me how little they know about men. If nothing else, this blog is an outlet for voicing my astonishment at .

A friend is getting married soon and her best friend and her sister organized the bachelorette party, which consists of… — afternoon at a spa, with a special treatment for the bride — bowling — dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. Take your time with it. Strategic planning is what I do. People who are unhappy are usually that way because they never sat down and planned out their lives in a clearly defined direction they desire. People do this too. This honestly one of the biggest reasons why most people are unhappy to some degree. In my primary book, The Unchained Man , I talk in great detail about how to wash out Societal Programming, set a Mission for your life, and how to set goals.

Beyond those topics, I did not talk about personal strategic planning in that book, as in planning out your life. This is also important. I could write an entire book on the subject and I probably will at some point down the road.

There will not be a lot of specifics.
